Though HIBM is a rare disease it very much affects the global community and we are privileged to share with you the following testimonies from patients around the world.

ARM is unique and special because it is the patients that are directly involved in leading ARM to a brighter future. In 1997 ARM was founded by brothers, physicians and HIBM patients, Dr. Daniel and Dr. Babak Darvish. Since, they have dedicated their lives to HIBM research and spreading awareness. Most recently more patients are joining ARM and contributing their talents and experience to ARM's future. Patients like Julie Ogden who uses her life for the better to spread awareness and alone has raised $150,000 in her Louisiana community. Kam Redlawsk, an HIBM Patient and Industrial Designer, who volunteered her skills to design ARM's new media campaign, vision, prints and website. Cara Yar Khan, United Nations Private Sector Specialist and HIBM patient, whom recently flew to Los Angeles from Angola to be Master of Ceremonies for ARM's Gala, "Touching Tomorrow - A Cure Within Reach".

The patients are the reason ARM is here, for its current and future generations and we welcome you to experience the stories of each patient through their eyes. We will be adding stories as we receive them so please visit often!
