 Dr. Nemunitis received his B.A. Degree in Chemistry & Psychology and earned his M.D. at The Case Western Reserve University,​Cleveland,​ OH. He completed his medical residency at Boston City Hospital, Boston, MA, and a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at University of Washington School of Medicine and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, WA, after which he served as Research Clinical Associate and Assistant Professor until 1992.
