Jacques Tremblay, PhD

 Dr. Jacques Tremblay Dr. Tremblay is one of the leading investigators in the field of stem cell based therapies for muscle wasting diseases. Dr. Tremblay has been an ARM sponsored investigator during the grant award years 2003-2006. He is a passionate and selfless investigator who values the benefit to patients above his own.

Dr. Tremblay was born in Montreal in 1946. He completed a BA at college Ste Marie in 1967 and a B.Sc. in Honours Biochemistry at Mc Gill University in 1970. He obtained PhD in Neuroscience from the University of California in San Diego (UCSD) in 1974. He is a professor at Laval University since 1985. He was the chairman of the department of Anatomy from 1987 to 1997. Dr. Tremblay is regarded as one of the most influential and productive muscle stem cell transplant investigators worldwide.
